    Australian TAX for cyptos

    Hi all,

I have found out that my original post may have inaccuracies in it and rather than leave it here and potentially steer people down the wrong path, I have removed it and will rewrite it after I can clarify the issues.

My apologies for the mixup, there will be a new post here soon.

    Thanks,
    TFishy

    Thanks Fishy

Being new to all of this side of things, would it be wise to get in touch with my Tax Agent now, just as a way of giving him a heads up? Prior to this year, I've just been your average-joe with regards to taxes!

Also, do you think there is any benefit in going to a Tax Agent who specialises in crypto?

Cryptoholic (hope I did that link right!?) gave me this link to CryptoTax back in Telegram on 05/04.

He also pointed out this link too which might add more info to your post above.

Thanks Bob! This certainly sheds some doubt on the correctness of my post. I will do some further clarification and rewrite this thread to make sure it is accurate in the next few days. In the meantime, I have edited the original post to make sure I'm not steering people down the wrong path.
